Pasighat is a picturesque town located in the northeastern Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. Nestled along the banks of the Siang River, Pasighat is situated about 160 kilometers (99 miles) east of the state capital, Itanagar, and approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) from the Assam border. The town lies at an elevation of around 155 meters (509 feet) above sea level and is surrounded by lush hills and dense forests, contributing to its scenic beauty.
